The Basics
PTT Contacts
Allows you to view your PTT Contact List. The PTT
Contact List contains all individual and group PTT
contacts in a single list.
1. Press for MENU g 1 for Contacts ( )g
for PTT Contact List.
2. Press the Directional key ( ) up or down to scroll
through your Contact List.
3. Press the Right Soft key ( ) for Options to select
one of the following options: New PTT Contact,
Copy To Contacts, Temp PTT Group, Erase, Edit,
Call, New Text Message, New Picture Message,
New Video Message, New Voice Message, Sort.
4. Press Left Soft key ( ) [Alert]. Press and release PTT
to alert the selected individual.
Push to Talk call types
You can make two types of PTT calls:
• A Barge call automatically connects to the other
party. The receiving party does not have the option
to ignore the call.
• An Alert call sends the receiving party a tone
indicating that someone wants to talk with them.
The call recipient has the option to either answer or
ignore the call.
Adding a PTT Contact
NOTE: For the PTT Contact List sub-menu to display in the Contacts menu, go to
9. Setting & Tools g 7. Call Settings g
8. PTT Mode to turn on PTT mode.
To store a phone number in PTT Contacts:
1. Press for MENU g 1 for Contacts ( )g
for New PTT Contact.
2. Enter a name and 10-digit phone number for the
contact and press to SAVE.
