Data Usage
View your Wi-Fi data usage.
1. From a Home screen, touch Apps ➔ Settings.
Under Wireless and Networks, touch Data usage.
2. Touch Mobile data to turn Mobile data usage on.
• Touch Limit mobile data usage to allow a data limit
to be set (as set by the red bar on the chart below)
• Touch Alert me about data usage to receive a
notification when data usage is getting close to your
mobile data limit (as set by the orange bar on the chart
below).
3. Touch the Data usage cycle drop-down menu and
select a date.
The data usage displays as a chart, and also displays a
list of each application with a breakdown of data usage
by application.
4. Set data usage limits:
• Touch and drag the red limit bar to set the maximum
data limit. When data usage reaches this limit, mobile
data will be disabled.
Warning! When disabled, you will not be able to use the
Internet, sync email, or use any app that requres a
data connection unless you are connected to a
Wi-Fi network.
• Touch and drag the orange warning bar to set a
warning level. You will be notified when data usage
reaches this level.
• Touch and drag the two white bars to adjust the time
period displayed.
• Touch an application to view its data usage. Touch
Restrict background data to force the application to
sync background data only when connected to a
Wi-Fi network.
Note: Data is measured by your device. Your service provider
may account for data usage differently.
