2. On the XAV101 Configuration Utility Main tab, click the device name for a remote Powerline

device to highlight it, then click Firmware Upgrade. The following screen is displayed:

3. Click the Browse button, and locate the firmware file that you saved on your computer. The

file has an extension of .bin.

4. Select the downloaded firmware file, and then click Upgrade.

5. Repeat the previous steps to remotely upgrade firmware for all Powerline AV Ethernet

Adapters in your network.

Resetting to Factory Defaults

This option returns the network encryption key to its default value of HomePlugAV. Only one
device at a time can be reset.

Warning: Do not try to go online, shut down the computer, or either disconnect or

unplug Powerline AV Ethernet Adapters, until the firmware upgrade
finishes!

Note: If you customized your network encryption key, the local Powerline device will be

disconnected from the network when you reset it to the factory default. To avoid
this problem, reset all remote devices before you reset the local device.
