NAS function (Samba server)

Ariva player has embeded Samba

server and therefore can work as a NAS

(Network-Attached Storage).

General Operation

You can access Internal HDD from any

computer:

A

Enter \\Ariva (or “\\“ and the IP address of

the player) in Run window and press OK.

You will see HDD1 of your Ariva player as

shown on the below illustration

Optional. Right key Click to HDD1 folder.

Select the “Map Network Drive” menu.

Then you can directly connect to Ariva in

computer.

CAUTION!

To use this function you need to install

and format internal HDD and enable NAS

Mode (Setup > Network > NAS Mode to

“On”).

BitTorrent client

Ariva player has built-in simple BitTorrent

client and advanced BitTorrent client

(Transmission). Simple BitTorrent

client downloads files onto internal

HDD into “BT” folder. Transmission

downloads files onto internal HDD into

“transmissionDownload” folder.

Add new torrent via a web browser

Input http://ariva/:9091 (or Ariva IP

address and “:9091“) into web browser

address bar and press Enter.

The “Transmission Web Interface” will

display download queue status.

C

Select “Open” to add new .torrent to

queue.

Helpful Hint:

You need to turn on Transmission client in

Setup menu first. Please change Setup >

Network >Transmission to “On“

Transmission is recommended BitTorrent

client.
