Selecting a genre

An overview of all genres is displayed. To assign a song
to a genre, the genre must be entered in its tag.
To play all the songs from a specific genre, use or

to select the desired genre and press .

To display a list of all songs from a specific genre, use

or to select the desired genre and press OK.


10.2.6 Selecting


Search main catalogue
You can search for terms in the main catalogue (title,
artist, album) and display all hits that contain your
search term.
For example, if you are searching for "Beatles", all
songs whose tag includes "Beatles", "The Beatles" or
even "Beatles, the" are listed. When sorted
alphabetically by "Albums", these three entries are
displayed as three different artists.

Search file names
You can search by file name to display all hits that
contain your search term.
If you search for "Love", all songs whose tag contains
"Love" in the "Title" field (e.g. "Love hurts", "My one
and only love", etc.) are listed.

Search all categories
You can search for all entries in the database, even if
the entries do not correspond to any of the main
categories. All hits are displayed that contain your
search term.
If you have noted information such as year released or
composer in the ID3 tags, you can search for "2003" or
"Mozart" to display a list of all the songs released in
2003 or all works composed by W.A. Mozart.
