Music Settings
To edit music-encoding settings, click the Settings button at the top of the Media Manager for WALKMAN
window, and then click the Music button on the left side of the window.

Music Target C hoos e a s etting from the drop-down lis t to indic ate the target bit rate for
trans ferring audio files to your WA LKM A N , or c hoos e Automatic to allow the
s oftware to determine the appropriate bit rate.
When you c hoos e Automatic, the s oftware c hoos es the s tandard bit rate that mos t
c los ely matc hes the original file's bit rate.
Always encode music as AAC/MP3 Selec t this c hec k box if you want to re-enc ode all mus ic files to the s elec ted file
type before trans ferring them to your WA LKM A N .
When the c hec k box is not s elec ted, M P 3 and A A C files will be trans ferred without
re-enc oding.

SensMe Music Analysis C lic k to analyze the M P 3 mus ic files in your mus ic folders and add Sens M e
metadata to the files (all folders that are dis played in the P C pane in M us ic mode
are analyzed).
