[ To view images on TV screen

The connection or the image quality (HD (high definition)/SD (standard definition)) varies
depending on the type of TV or input jacks the camera is connected to.

Connecting to a high definition TV

Images recorded with HD (high definition) image quality are played back with HD (high
definition) image quality. Images recorded with SD (standard definition) image quality are
played back with SD (standard definition) image quality.

• If you connect only component video plugs, audio signals are not output. Connect the white and red plugs

to output audio signals.

• The output settings switches automatically according to the images played back. Therefore, the image

may be distorted when switching the mode on the connected TV.

• If you record movies in HD (high definition) image quality [1080 30P]/[720 30P] while connecting the

camera to a high definition TV with a component cable, the image output to the TV is shown in SD image
quality.
