Shoot with the shutter button.

Using the zoom:

Slide the zoom (W/T) lever to the T side to zoom and slide to the W side to return.

When shooting still images:

Press and hold the shutter button halfway
down to focus.

The z (AE/AF lock) indicator (green) flashes, a
beep sounds, the indicator stops flashing and
remains lit.

Press the shutter button fully down.

• You can select the point to bring into focus by

touching the screen.

of the screen if a face is detected at the touched

When shooting movies:

Press the shutter button fully down.

Press the shutter button fully down again to
stop the recording.

• You can shoot the still images by touching the

(Photo button) during recording the movies only when
“Memory Stick Duo” (not supplied) is inserted into
the camera. You can shoot up to three still images
while shooting a single movie.

(approx 0.9MB) is used as the recording size

for still images when shooting in [1280×720] mode,

is used when shooting in [VGA] mode.
