Your camera cannot delete an image.

Cancel the protection (page 34).

Set the write-protect switch on the “Memory Stick Duo” to the recording position (page 83).

You have deleted an image by mistake.

Once you have deleted an image, you cannot restore it. We recommend that you set protection
on an image (page 33), or set the write-protect switch on the “Memory Stick Duo” to the
LOCK position (page 83) to prevent accidental erasure.

You cannot display a DPOF (Print order) mark.

You cannot display DPOF (Print order) marks on movies.

You do not know if the OS of your computer is compatible with the camera.

Check “Recommended computer environment” on page 47 for windows and page 60 for
Macintosh.

Your computer does not recognize your camera.

Turn on the camera.

When the battery level is low, install the charged batteries, replace the batteries with new
ones, or use the AC Adaptor (not supplied).

Use the supplied USB cable.

Disconnect the USB cable from both the computer and the camera, and connect it again
firmly. Make sure that “USB Mode Normal” is displayed (page 50).

Set [USB Connect] to [Normal] in the

(Setup) menu (page 44).

Disconnect all equipment other than the camera, the keyboard and the mouse from the USB
connectors of your computer.

Connect the camera directly to your computer without passing through a USB hub or other
device (page 50).
