Cannot recognize lens. Attach it properly.

• The lens is not attached properly, or the lens is not attached. If the message appears when a lens is

attached, reattach the lens. If the message appears frequently, check whether the contacts of the lens
and camcorder are clean or not.

• When attaching a non-Sony E-mount lens or mount adaptor, set [Shoot w/o Lens] to [Enable]

(page 54).

No images

• There is no image on the memory card.

Image protected

• You tried to delete protected images.

Camera overheating. Allow it to cool.

• The camcorder has become hot because you have been recording for a long time. Turn the power off.

Cool the camcorder and wait until the camcorder is ready to record again.

• The camcorder is getting too hot. Turn it off and leave it in a cool place for a while.

• The SteadyShot function does not work. You can continue recording but the SteadyShot function will

not work. Turn the camcorder off and on. If this icon does not disappear, consult your Sony dealer or
local authorized Sony service facility.

• Total number of movie scenes exceeds the recordable capacity of the camcorder.

• Unable to register to the database file. Import all the images to a computer using “PMB” and recover

the memory card.

consult your Sony dealer or local authorized Sony service facility.

• There is something wrong occurred in the Image Database File. Select [Setup]

• You cannot record or play back movies because the Image Database File is damaged. Follow the on-

screen instructions to recover data.

• Images recorded with other camcorders may not be enlarged.
