Using the Pan lock knob for drag may cause damage to unit. To properly

use Pan lock knob, either have it fully tighened, or fully loosened.

Attach lens with lens plate

by loosening lens lock knob

completely, then place lens

plate into quick release. Tighten

lens lock knob completely, then

loosen 1/2 turn. Slide lens

forward or backward to balance,

then retighten lens lock knob.

If you have a replacement lens

foot, use the same procedure

above.

Install screw(s) into lens plate at the labeled

ends. The screw(s) and

or plate may be

damaged if installed incorrectly. Some

lenses will require both screws be in one

slot.
The “D” screw has a fold out clip for

hand tightening. A screwdriver slot is also

included on the screw.
Do not insert any object as leverage into the

“D” clip as it will damage screw and void

warranty.

A lens may have 1/4” and

/

or 3/8” threaded

holes. (1) 3/8” and (2) 1/4” screws are

included with each lens plate. It is important

to use the correct size.

Attach the Pan-Tilt Head AS to the tripods’ ⅜”-16 mounting stud and tighten until firmly attached.

* * * * * Caution * * * * *

If you are using a tripod with a ¼”-20 mounting stud, you will need to purchase a ⅜” to ¼” reducer

bushing and install it in bottom of the Pan-Tilt Head’s base.

For a period of five (5) years from date of purchase, Custom Brackets will repair or replace free of charge, any

defect in material or workmanship. Warranty does not cover repairs due to abuse, negligence, impact or any

modifications made by the customer. Excessive force unscrewing knobs will void warranty. Warranty service is

available by returning the Pan-Tilt Head AS (shipping prepaid) to Custom Brackets. All returns must include a

return authorization (RA) number (contact Custom Brackets to obtain), letter explaining the problem, and a

copy of the sales receipt.

Repair service is available by returning the Pan-Tilt Head AS (shipping prepaid) to Custom Brackets.

All returns must include a return authorization (RA) number (contact Custom Brackets to obtain), letter

explaining the problem, and a copy of the sales receipt. A repair cost will be issued and must be approved

prior to any repairs. Shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer.

The Pan-Tilt Head AS is designed completely maintenance-free.

Maintenance

International 5 Year Limited Warranty

The Pan-Tilt Head AS has many unique features. It is constructed from anodized aluminum for a lightweight

and scratch-resistent finish. The Pan-Tilt Head has separate lock and drag knobs for better control. All knobs

are captive to prevent loss. All of the fasteners are stainless steel to resist corrosion and black oxide for

appearance.

Indexing the quick release to accept a camera

Using the supplied allen wrench (3/16”), remove

screw from the top of the quick release, then lift

the quick release off the Pan-Tilt Head.
Align quick release far right image (Camera Setup)

and align pins using pin holes #1 & #2 (see below)

in top of the tilt head. Once in place, install screw

into the top of the quick release of the Tilt Head.

For Long Lens Setup, use pin holes #2 & #3.
