OPERATION
2 Wheel Drive (4x2)
Turn the control dial counterclockwise -
using fingers only - to the 4x2
position. The front wheels are now
completely disengaged from the
transmission.
4 Wheel Drive (4x4)
Turn the control dial clockwise - fingers
only - to the 4x4 position. The front
drive now operates precisely as before
the free wheel hubs were installed.

MAINTENANCE
None required. Free-Wheeling Hubs are permanently lubricated. In case it
is necessary to disassemble unit for inspection, NEVER USE GREASE.
Wash components with kerosene and lubricate lightly with SAE 30 oil.
IMPORTANT: Every time hubs are disassembled for vehicle mainte-
nance, make sure parts supplied in service kit are used for re-instalation.
INSTALLATION
• Front Wheels
Remove bolts and drive
flange, taking off snap-ring
or nut (if any) from axle
shaft. • With control dial in 4x2
position, loosen screws
and seperate the two
subassemblies. • Install hub body with its
gasket using the original
flange bolt and lock-washers.
Tighten them according to
the specifications of
vehicle’s manufacturer.
Replace snap-ring or nut
(if any) on axle shaft. • Re-install cover assembly
with its gasket. Tighten cover
screws or hex bolts to 3.0-4.0
N~m (26-35 in. lbs) using
torx wrench “T15”.
Do not exceed specified
torque so as to avoid
damaging wrench.
