Maintenance

WARNING: Always remove the plug from the mains power supply before

carrying out any maintenance/cleaning of the charger. Remove the battery

before carrying out any maintenance/cleaning of the drill.
Note: Both the drill and the charger contain no user-serviceable parts.

If the device does not perform as outlined in this manual, return it to an

authorised Silverline service centre for repair.

Cleaning

• Keep your machine clean at all times. Dirt and dust will cause internal

parts to wear quickly, and shorten the machine’s service life. Clean the

body of your machine with a soft brush, or dry cloth. If available, use

clean, dry, compressed air to blow through the ventilation holes

Storage

• Store this tool carefully in a secure, dry place out of the reach of children.

Store in its original case if a case is provided

Disposal

Always adhere to national regulations when disposing of power tools that

are no longer functional and are not viable for repair.
• Do not dispose of power tools, batteries, or other waste electrical and

electronic equipment (WEEE), with household waste

• Contact your local waste disposal authority for information on the correct

way to dispose of power tools or batteries

Problem

Red charging LED does not

flash and Battery (5) not

charging

Battery not fully seated

Clean battery socket of battery connector

Charger not powered

Recheck mains connection

Battery has low capacity

Battery not being fully charged

Wait until red LED is continuously illuminated and not flashing

Battery charged days before use

Charge the previous day or same day as use

Battery has been charged over 100 times and

capacity has started to reduce

This is normal for batteries. Contact your Silverline dealer to purchase

a replacement battery

Drill cannot be switched on

(Trigger (7) does not move)

The forward/reverse switch may be in the middle

(“locked”) position

Slide the forward/reverse switch either to the left or right

Drill does not start when Trigger

is pressed down

Battery completely discharged

Recharge battery or replace with a fully charged battery

Defective battery

Purchase new battery

Drill defective

Contact your Silverline dealer or authorised service centre

Screws do not reach deep

enough into the workpiece

Not enough torque; Torque Selector (3) setting

too low

Choose a higher torque setting

Low battery voltage

Recharge battery or replace with a fully charged battery

Screws are driven too deep into

the workpiece surface
