trained on the restrictions and the precautions for this specific site.
Access s by means of at least one of the followng, specal tool, lock and key,

or other means of securty, and s controlled by the authorty responsble for

the locaton.
Rack Mount Installaton Instructons:

Elevated Operatng Ambent - If nstalled n a closed or mult-unt rack as-

sembly, the operatng ambent temperature of the rack envronment may

be greater than room ambent. Therefore, consderaton should be gven

to nstallng the equpment n an envronment compatble wth the max-

mum ambient temperature (Tma) specified by the manufacturer.
Reduced Ar Flow - Installaton of the equpment n a rack should be such

that the amount of air flow required for safe operation of the equipment

s not compromsed.
Mechancal Loadng - Mountng of the equpment n the rack should be

such that a hazardous condton s not acheved due to uneven mechan-

cal loadng.
Crcut Overloadng - Consderaton should be gven to the connecton of

the equpment to the supply crcut and the effect that overloadng of the

crcuts mght have on overcurrent protecton and supply wrng. Appropr-

ate consderaton of equpment nameplate ratngs should be used when

addressng ths concern.
Relable Earthng - Relable earthng of rack-mounted equpment should

be mantaned. Partcular attenton should be gven to supply connec-

tons other than drect connectons to the branch crcut (e.g. use of power

strps).
