Chapter 3. Voice recognition
Voice recognition enables you to give commands and dictate text to the computer
through voice rather than using keyboard input. When the voice-recognition function is
enabled, the Voice-recognition icon displays a green dot.
See the Setup Guide that comes with your computer for a list of commonly used voice
commands. For more information, you also can refer to the help system. See Chapter 4
“Help and training” on page 13.
Note: The voice-recognition application supports certain languages, dialects, and
geographic locations only. If your operating-system language or geographic location is
not supported, the voice-recognition application is not provided with your computer.
When you tap the Voice-recognition icon, a message is displayed informing you that
your language is not supported.
