Loosen the screws 1 and do not remove them. Then remove the cover 2 .

For access, remove these FRUs in order:

“1010 Battery pack” on page 44
• “1020 Bottom slot cover” on page 44

Remove the screw 1 . Then insert a screwdriver into the screw hole 2 and push the optical drive in the
direction shown by the arrow 3 .
