Router Mode/ IP over ATM (RFC1577)
(1) Run the “router.exe” file saved in the configuration utility. (Go to Start ÆProgramÆ
ADSL Router xx Configuration UtilityÆConfiguration Utility.)
(2) Select a PC COM port available on your computer used to connect to the ADSL Router’s
“Console” port.
(3) Check “Router Protocol” and select “IP over ATM”.
(4) Click “Properties” button.
(5) Enter “ADSL IP”, “Gateway IP”, and “Subnet Mask” addresses provided by your
service provider.
(6) Usually Ethernet IP addresses were not provided by service providers. Check to make
sure if this is your case, if yes, remember to select “Enable NAT function.”
(7) Enter the VPI and VCI numbers. Typically VPI is set to “0”.
