6 | Installing and configuring the connector
Installation prerequisites
The following are the installation prerequisites:

Open Text Livelink ECM Enterprise Server version 9.1 or later
■
eCopy ShareScan OP 4.0, with Service Pack 2, or later
Installing the connector
To install the eCopy Connector for Livelink ECM:

Insert the installation CD. If the installer does not start automatically, double-click
Launch.exe on the CD.

Click Install Connector to start the installation.

Follow the on-screen instructions

When the installation is complete, click Finish.
Note: The eCopy Connector for Livelink ECM uses Livelink API (LAPI) version 9.2 and supports TCP/IP direct
connections with native Livelink authentication. It does not support HTTP or HTTPS connections or
non-native authentication methods. Native authentication using LAPI supports Livelink
authentication, NTFS authentication, and LDAP authentication. The Livelink server is responsible for
managing the authentication settings and the connector works transparently with the selected
authentication mode.
Important! Before installing the connector, make sure that the ShareScan OP software is installed and
functioning correctly. Refer to the eCopy ShareScan OP Installation and Setup Guide for details.
