TAKE A PICTURE

a. Zoom

Using the monitor, place the AF
target mark over your subject.

Press and hold the shutter
button halfway to lock focus.

The green lamp indicates

focus is locked.

Press the shutter button
completely to take the
picture.
(Press Completely.)

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

• The camera you have purchased comes with its own internal

memory. Even when an xD-Picture Card is not inserted, your

pictures will be saved on the internal memory.

Gather these items (box contents)

Strap

AA (R6) Batteries (two)

USB Cable (light gray)

OLYMPUS Master software

CD-ROM

This box also contains:
Advanced Manual (CD-ROM), Basic
Manual, Warranty card. Contents
may vary depending on purchase
location.

An xD-Picture Card is included with

the FE-110/X-705 model only.

Video Cable (black)

GETTING STARTED

a. Attach the strap

Strap eyelet

Pull the strap tight so that it does not
come loose.

b. Insert the batteries

Turn the mode dial to

to turn the camera on.

Press [/\ to set an item. Press ^/] to
select the next field.

TRANSFER IMAGES

a. Install the software

Insert the OLYMPUS Master
CD-ROM.

Windows:

Click the

“OLYMPUS Master“
button.
Macintosh:

Double-click

the “Installer“ icon.

Simply follow the on-
screen instructions.

Remember to register your camera when you install
OLYMPUS Master or by visiting:

b. Connect the camera to the computer

Connect the camera and computer using the USB cable (included).

The monitor will turn on automatically

Select [PC] on the monitor, and press i

Your PC will now recognize your

camera as a removable storage drive.

c. Transfer images to the computer

With the camera now connected, open
OLYMPUS Master.

The [Transfer Images] window is displayed.

Select the images you want to transfer, and
click the [Transfer Images] button.

menu.

If the [Transfer Images] window is not
displayed automatically:
