Noise reduction

When shooting in a dark place, the shutter speed will be slow due to less exposure
of the CCD. When shooting in long exposure, a signal is generated even from the
unexposed part of the CCD, and will be recorded as noise. When the noise reduction
activates, the camera automatically reduces the noise and makes clear shooting
possible.

NTSC (National Television Systems Committee) / PAL (Phase
Alternating Line)

Television formats. NTSC is mainly used in Japan, North America and Korea. PAL
is mainly used in Europe and China.

PictBridge

A standard for connecting digital cameras and printers of different makers and
printing out pictures directly.

Pixels

A pixel is the smallest unit (dot) used to make up an image. Clear large-sized printed
images require millions of pixels.

Sleep Mode

A mode designed to save battery life. The camera automatically enters the sleep
mode if you do not operate it for a certain time. To exit the sleep mode, use any
button on the camera (shutter button, arrow pad, etc.).

TFT (Thin-Film Transistor) Color Monitor

A transistor color monitor constructed using thin-film technology.
