Notice on the Addition of Functions

In addition to the functions described in the operating instructions, there are a number of other functions that have been added. These new
functions are described in this notice. Also refer to the included operating instructions.

The additional functions are as follows:

• DTS-HD audio output

• Speaker Setup

• Image file playback

• External subtitle files for DivX files

Caution

• The addition of the functions resets the speaker settings. To use 7.1-channel analog output signals, check the speaker settings.

DTS-HD audio output

Output of the DTS Digital Surround and DTS-HD (DTS-HD High Resolution Audio and DTS-HD Master Audio) signals recorded on BD-ROMs
has changed.

• Before the function was added, the DTS Digital Surround signals included within the DTS-HD signals were converted to linear PCM or

analog audio signals for output. With the addition of the function, the DTS-HD signals are converted into linear PCM or analog audio
signals for output.

• When using with a 7.1-channel speaker system, DTS Digital Surround signals are output in up to 7.1 channels.

For details, refer to the table below.

Changes are indicated in

bold.

Caution

The output from all terminals other than the ones selected for

Audio does not sound as intended by the content provider.
