Reset the navigation system
without changing the condition
memory
Pressing the RESET button of the navigation
system lets you reset the microprocessor to its
initial settings without changing the condition
memory.
The microprocessor must be reset under the fol-
lowing conditions:
• Prior to using this product for the first time
after installation.
• If the product fails to operate properly.
• If there appear to be problems with the opera-
tion of the system.
• When changing the combination of the equip-
ment.
• When adding/removing additional products
that connect to the navigation system.
• When the display and the Hide-away units are
re-connected.

Turn the ignition switch OFF.

Press the RESET button with a pen tip or
other pointed instrument.
❒ If you have connected other equipment (for
example, Bluetooth adapter) to this navigation
system, be sure to reset that equipment too.
Reset the navigation system to
the initial (factory) setting
When you want to erase memorised settings and
return the navigation system to its initial (factory)
settings, carry out the following operations.

Turn the engine ON or set the ignition
switch to ACC position.

Press the RESET button with a pen tip or
other pointed instrument.
❒ Some navigation settings and data are not
erased.
About the data of the navigation
system being deleted
The information is erased by pressing the RESET
button or disconnecting yellow lead from the bat-
tery (or removing the battery itself. However, the
following items are not erased:
• Sensor learning status and driving status
• Memory area memorised manually
• Areas to avoid
• Registered Locations in “Address Book”
• Data registered in “Emergency Info”
Resetting the Bluetooth Adapter
• Pressing the RESET button of the Blue-
tooth adapter with the ignition switch ON
(ACC ON) erasing the contents of the
adapter’s memory.
Reset the Bluetooth adapter
without erasing the memory
Pressing the RESET button of the Bluetooth
adapter lets you reset the adapter to its initial set-
tings without erasing the memory.
The Bluetooth adapter must be reset under the
following conditions:
• Prior to using this adapter for the first time
after installation.
• If there appear to be problems with the opera-
tion of the Hands-free Phoning function.
• When the Bluetooth adapter and the naviga-
tion system are re-connected.
