If you are pregnant or if you have a major health problem, consult

your doctor before you use herbs and oils other than those supplied

with the appliance.
Electromagnetic fields (EMF)

This Philips appliance complies with all standards regarding

electromagnetic fields (EMF). If handled properly and according to the

instructions in this user manual, the appliance is safe to use based on

scientific evidence available today.

Preparing for use

Make sure the appliance is unplugged.



Turn the steaming mask clockwise to fix it (Fig. 1).



Use the measuring cup to fill the water container in the base with

warm tap water (Fig. 2).

The water container can hold up to 50ml water (= 2 measuring cups

filled up to the line). In this case, the steaming time is approximately 20

minutes.
Never hold the base under a running tap to fill the water container.

Only use the measuring cup to fill the water container.
If you want to use herbs or oils, read section ‘Using herbs and aromatic

oils’ in chapter ‘Using the appliance’.

Using the appliance

Steaming without the aroma diffuser

Always place the appliance on a stable and horizontal surface.

Put the plug in the wall socket (Fig. 3).



Turn the on/off knob to ‘I’ to switch on the appliance (Fig. 4).

The power-on light goes on.

The water heats up and steam starts to develop after about 5

minutes.
