Solution

Water spots appear

on the garment

during use of

the steam boost

function.

The water spots on your garment are due

to condensation in the supply hose. When

the supply hose cooled down, the steam

that was still present in the hose cooled

down and condensed into water.

The water droplets stop coming

out of the appliance when you have

used the steam boost function for

some time.

Flakes and

impurities come

out of the soleplate

or the soleplate is

dirty.

Impurities or chemicals present in the

water have deposited in the steam vents

and/or on the soleplate.

Clean the soleplate with a damp

cloth.

Too much scale and minerals have

accumulated inside the steam generator.

Rinse the steam generator

frequently (see chapter ‘Cleaning and

maintenance’).

The steam supply

hose is warm

during ironing.

This is normal as steam passes through

the steam supply hose during steam

ironing.

Place the steam supply hose on the

opposite side of the ironing board in

such a way that your hand does not

touch the hose during ironing.

I cannot put the

iron on its heel.

The iron cannot be put on its heel

because it has an ergonomic design that

reduces strain on your wrist (see chapter

‘Introduction’).

Place the iron horizontally on the

heat-resistant iron resting mat.

GC8460 only:

when I press the

the appliance and press the cord

rewind button again.
