Changing Remote Codes
Remote Codes might not work with some telephone systems. The preset Activation Code is 5 1
( 9 1 for New Zealand). The preset Deactivation Code is # 5 1 (# 9 1 for New Zealand). The
preset Activation Voice Code is 8 1.
To change Remote Codes

Press Menu/Set, 2, 4.

Press or to select ON (or OFF), and press Menu/Set when the screen displays the
setting you want.

If you want to, enter a new Remote Activation Code, then press Menu/Set.

If you want to, enter a new Remote Deactivation Code, then press Menu/Set.

If you want to, enter a new Activation Voice Code, then press Menu/Set.

Press Stop/Exit.
If you are always disconnected when accessing your external TAD remotely, try
changing the Activation Code from
5 1 ( 9 1 for New Zealand) to # # # and
the Deactivation Code from # 5 1 (# 9 1 for New Zealand) to 1 1 1. You cannot
use the same number for the Activation Code, the Deactivation Code, and the
Activation Voice Code.
