The steering system is an enclosed push-pull

cable that is hydraulically assisted (power steering)

at the stern drive end. ThE CaBlE anD ITs

lEasT TWICE a yEaR By yOUR BaJa DEalER.

see section 8 of this manual for inspection, service

and maintenance recommendations.

The power steering pump fluid level MUST be

checked every time prior to using the boat. Refer

to the steering system information in your Owner’s

Packet.

1. Move level to neutral

position, which is located

in the center. let engine

idle for about 5 minutes

to allow engine to cool

down.

2. Turn ignition keys

counter clockwise to

turn off engine.

Failure of the steering system will cause loss of

control of your boat. Any change in steering such as

looseness, tightness, binding, etc., must be checked

immediately by your Baja dealer.
