SmartScreen™ (Contrast Enhancement Filter)
In addition to providing substantial increase in visual contrast, this
SmartScreen™ lends a “direct-view look” to a large screen television and
prevents serious accidental damage to the delicate front lenticular screen.
It’s almost like having a full-time body guard watching over your investment.

MagnaBrite™ Lenses
By moving the red, green, and blue guns closer to the view screen, more
consistent edge-to-edge brightness and contrast become a reality. Add
the advantage of Delta 79/78 optics and the focal length of the guns is
dramatically reduced–producing crisp, well-defined large screen images
and slim cabinet design.

Wideband Video Amplifier
More is definitely better. By extending the video bandwidth to 10MHz,
you get up to 800 lines of horizontal resolution

Remote Control

Universal TV/VCR/Cable Remote
Controls all features and functions of this monitor/receiver with direct
menu access plus activates Smart Window™ PIP with Action Freeze,
Position and Swap; and exclusive SmartSound™ and SmartPicture™
options. This remote also controls all important operating features and
functions of virtually all infrared VCRs, and on/off and CHANNEL ▲ ▼
on most cable converter/decoders. (Remote #Y147SB)

Convenience

Smart Window™ (PIP)
Used in conjunction with a second video source such as a VCR, DVD
Video player, or Web browser, picture-in-picture allows you to monitor
one TV channel while watching another, monitor videotape or videodisc
playback while playing a game, or monitor a TV channel while surfing the
Internet. You can swap the main and secondary pictures, position secondary
pictures in any screen corner, or freeze the main picture information and
put it into the inset picture. In all cases, the main picture is provided with
its corresponding audio. A size select menu function facilitates reduction
of the size of the inset picture by approximately 50%.

SmartPicture™
A touch of the SMART button on the remote control provides the option
of selecting one of 4 preset positions to enhance enjoyment of video
games, sports, movies or weak signals. Select the desired option and all
important picture elements are instantly adjusted to optimize viewing pleasure.

Advanced Help Menu
The Help Menu provides you with the option of selecting first time setup
assistance; operating tips for enhancing the ultimate video/audio experience;
and a special glossary to provide further explanation of each listed feature’s
function and its corresponding benefit.

Sound

SmartSound™
When activated, SmartSound™ keeps volume levels constant between programs
and commercials, and from one channel to another. SmartSound™ constantly
monitors the audio signal, reducing a signal that’s too loud and increasing a
signal that’s too weak.

True Surround Sound
Experience the full, three-dimensional effect of a live musical performance
with true surround, not just matrix surround. The front, left and right speakers
contain directional sounds creating stereo spread (or what’s known as the
“wall of sound”), as well as other important effects that help “steer” the
audio more realistically to the listener’s ears. The rear speakers (not included)
recreate the reflective ambience of the original room in which the audio was
recorded. They generate short echoes and delays that make the entire audio
experience more lifelike.

Incredible Stereo™
Pseudo-acoustic management of the audio signal produces a dramatic
expansion of the “wall of sound” engulfing the listener and heightening
overall home theatre entertainment.
