HDTV Tuner

Built-in HDTV tuner that receives and displays

terrestrial ATSC and unscrambled cable (64/256 QAM)

signals.

HD Optics

The Philips HD Optics system improves the quality of

TV displays, including micro phosphor CRTs, hybrid

projection lenses, first surface mirrors, fine pitched

Lenticular screens and Philips Wideband Video

Amplifier. The result is better resolution.

3D Combfilter

The 3D comb filter separates brightness and color

signals better in 3D domain to eliminate cross-color,

cross-luminance and dot-crawl distortion - all of which

detract from your viewing pleasure. The 3D digital

comb filter performs field-by-field comparisons of the

television image to accurately separate the color from

the black-and-white information and remove both

horizontally and vertically hanging dots, as well as dot

crawl. The result is a razor sharp image.

APAC

Automatic Phosphor Aging Compensation (APAC) is a

Philips technology that is designed to help reduce the

chances of image retention on a television screen. It

prolongs the life of your TV's tube.

Coaxial Digital Audio SPDIF

An SPDIF coaxial cable is a highly reliable way of

connecting digital audio.

Virtual Dolby Surround

Virtual Dolby Surround is a processing technology for

enhancing surround sound effects. It which create the

sensation of Dolby Pro Logic without the necessity of

additional rear speakers. You become totally immersed

in your television experience.

Incredible Surround™

Incredible Surround is an audio technology from Philips

that dramatically magnifies the sound field to immerse

you in the audio. Using state-of-the-art electronic phase

shifting, Incredible Surround mixes sounds from left and

right in such a way that it expands the virtual distance

between the two speakers. This wider spread greatly

enhances the stereo effect and creates a more natural

sound dimension. Incredible Surround allows you to

experience total surround with greater depth and width

of sound, without the use of additional speakers.

Digital Surf

Digital Surf is a unique Philips feature on the remote

control that allows you to make the step to the digital

world by only displaying digitally broadcast channels

while you're channel surfing.

IntelliTune™

IntelliTune continuously scans the digital spectrum when

a channel change is initiated and will then show the next

available digital channel that it finds. In this way, it not

only looks for your pre-programmed channels but also

assures that you will never miss a new channel that may

have started broadcasting in Digital HD.

HDMI for simple AV connection

HDMI stands for High Definition Multimedia Interface.

It is a direct digital connection that can carry digital HD

video as well as digital multichannel audio. By

eliminating the conversion to analog signals it delivers

perfect picture and sound quality, completely free from

noise. HDMI is fully backward-compatible with (Digital

Video Interface) DVI.

1 Tuner Picture in Picture

With 1 tuner Picture-in-Picture, you can view video from

an external source in a small window on your screen.
