et’s learn the simple operation
of the TV’s built-in DVD Player.

Unless otherwise stated, all opera-
tions can be performed by using the
remote control.

Press the POWER button on

the remote control (or the TV) to

turn the television ON.

Slide the TV/DVD Mode

Switch on the remote control to the

DVD position.

Press the OPEN/CLOSE but-

ton on the remote control to place

the TV/DVD in the DVD mode.
Press the OPEN/CLOSE button
again to open the disc tray.

Place your chosen disc in the

tray. Be sure that the disc label is

facing up and the disc is centered in
the tray.

Press the OPEN/CLOSE but-

ton on the remote control (or the

EJECT button on the TV) to close
the disc tray.

The on-screen display will indi-

cate that the DVD Player is reading

the disc. Then playback of the disc
will begin automatically.

Note: If the “Child Lock” option is
set to ON within the Personal
Preference section, the 4-digit
access code must be entered or the
disc must be authorized. (See the
“Access Control” section within
this manual.)

A Default Screen is displayed when
the DVD Player is in the STOP
mode. It may contain a “Status
Window” and a “Temporary
Feedback Field.” this screen gives
information concerning prohibited
actions, playback, modes, available
angles, etc.

This section of the Directions for Use manual begins to explain the operating proce-
dures of the DVD Player portion of this television. Be sure the remote control’s
TV/DVD Mode Switch is placed in the DVD position before attempting to operate
the DVD Player.
