Active Control

Active Control ensure that noise and sharpness

improvements are continuously made at a rate of 60

times per second. By continually adjusting picture

setting over 3,000 times per minute, Active Control Plus

ensures that the viewing experience is optimized.

APAC

Automatic Phosphor Aging Compensation (APAC) is a

Philips technology that is designed to help reduce the

chances of image retention on a television screen. It

prolongs the life of your TV's tube.

HDTV Monitor

HDTV is the latest and best television signal available.

It produces picture quality more than twice that of

traditional analog broadcasts. In order to effectively

maximize the HDTV signal, a television must

incorporate advanced signal input connectivity

Progressive Scan

Progressive Scan doubles the vertical resolution of the

image resulting in a noticeably sharper picture. Instead

of sending a field comprising the odd lines to the screen

first, followed by the field with the even lines, both fields

are written at one time. A full image is created

instantaneously, using the maximum resolution. At such

a speed, your eye perceives a sharper picture with no

line structure.

Microfine Lenticular Screen

The ridges on the Lenticular Screen, which is found on

the front of all projecting TVs, act as a lens to define the

light distribution in the horizontal and vertical directions.

By controlling the horizontal and vertical distribution of

the light, optimum performance is achieved because all

light is directed towards the area of the desired viewing

positions. The closer together the ridges are on the

Lenticular Screen (the finer the pitch), the better the

picture will be. A Microfine Lenticular Screen results in

a wider viewing angle and more accurate and balanced

color.

3 Line Digital Comb Filter

A digital comb filter separates chrominance (color) from

luminance (brightness) information in the video signal

for independent processing to improve picture

resolution and minimize distortion. You'll enjoy a picture

with even finer detail.

Broad connectivity with DVI

DVI means there is virtually no limits to hooking up your

external devices like DVD-player, VCR, and so on.

Various input connections are provided to support

analog (YPbPr, CVBS, S-video) and digital (DVI)

connections.

2 Tuner Picture in Picture

With 2 tuner Picture-in-Picture, you a view a second

channel/program or video from an external source in a

small window on your screen.

Multi-Point Digital Converge

Transporting a projection TV may cause its three picture

tubes to become misaligned. This can result in

noticeably poorer picture quality and color bleeding.

Multi-point digital convergence allow you to use the

remote control to adjust picture convergence

electronically at 35 points on the TV's screen using the

'Convergence' section of the Picture menu. This

optimizes the picture from corner-to-corner to minimize

effects from natural or man-made magnetic fields in the

room where you locate your projection TV. You always

get the best possible picture.
