UNDERSTANDING PARENTAL CONTROLS

arental control is a feature that lets the TV receive and process data sent by broadcasters or other program
providers with program content advisory.

When programmed by the viewer, a TV with Parental Control can

respond to the content advisory and block program content that may be found objectionable (such as offensive
language, violence, sexual situations, etc.).

This feature is useful for adults to prevent certain types of programs

from being viewed by children.

Parental control offers the following features to choose from:

V-chip Setting - allows you to block programs by ratings.

Within its submenu, you can use a certain rating like

Movie Ratings, USA TV Content R

atings, Unrated or No Rating.

ing/censoring you have set is enabled.

anel of the TV is locked and the TV can be operated by the remote control

programming set by their paren

ts.

the Motion Pictures Association of America (

MPAA).
