(OR SIMILAR DEVICE)

T

he picture for the PIP win-
dow can come through either

the ANT/CABLE or any of the
external Audio/Video connections
at the rear of the TV. The Side
A/V and Component Input con-
nections cannot be used as a PIP
Source. PIP Source simply tells
the TV which one of these
sources it is to show in the PIP
window.

Turn the TV and VCR (or

other device hooked to the exter-
nal A/V connections) ON.

Press the PIP ON/OFF but-

ton on the remote control. The
PIP window should appear in the
upper right hand portion of the
screen.

Press the PIP SOURCE but-

ton on the remote to toggle
between the different external
connections.

The PIP SOURCE may come
from the following:

AV 1, AV 2, SVHS: for picture
signal coming from the external
Audio/Video jacks on the TV.
(You must have an external
device hooked up at these loca-
tions.)

ANTENNA/CABLE: for a pic-
ture signal coming from the
ANT/CABLE Input on the back
of the TV.

THE PIP SOURCE PICTURE CAN

COME FROM THE ANT/CABLE

INPUT, THE AV1, AV2, S-VIDEO
VIDEO INPUTS, NOT THE SIDE

OR COMPONENT VIDEO INPUTS.

NOTE: The CVI (Component) VIDEO and SIDE VIDEO INPUT JACKS will not be able to reproduce a picture for
PIP use.

SIDE A/V Input Jacks - Many, or all of the PIP functions will not be available when viewing a picture from the SIDE A/V
Input Jacks (or FRONT channel).

Component Video Input Jacks - Please refer to the Component Video Connection section describing how to use the
Component Video picture source with the AV1 jacks to reproduce a picture in the PIP window from a device such as a DVD
on the AV1 channel. If CVI is being viewed on the main TV screen and PIP is turned ON, the CVI inputs are disabled and
the picture will be shown from the AV1 Input jacks. When PIP is turned OFF, the picture from the Component Video Input
jacks will be restored.
