READ AND FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.

DO NOT INSTALL HEATER UNTIL ALL INSTRUCTIONS HAVE BEEN READ

AND UNDERSTOOD.

1. Select a location for your flotation system.
An electrical outlet should be within 5 ft. of the
temperature control unit, so that an extension
cord will not be necessary. Assemble waterbed
in accordance with mattress manufacturer’s
instructions. DO NOT install liner or watermat-
tress at this step (see 9). DO NOT attempt
to install under already filled bed, watermattress
should be drained to ensure heater pad lays
flat with no creases. Creasing pad is hazardous.
2. Heater placement. Place heater pad
perpendicular to the head of bed on base
platform surface, with the instructions facing
up, at least 8” from any side (and at least 8”
from the inside edge of any foam rails.)
See illustration to right.
3. Route heater cord through access notch,
grommet or end of zipper run as directed by
mattress or bed manufacturer’s instructions.
4. Control unit must be mounted near corner of
bed to provide adequate length for power cord
a n d s e n s o r t o b e p o s i t i o n e d p r o p e r l y
under mattress. (your bed may have a mount-
ing area for the control unit integrated into the
mattress design.)
5. The control unit is ideally installed on the
side of the bed or on the pedestal. Avoid cross-
ing the wires exiting the bottom of the control
unit. DO NOT install the control unit upside
down-wires must be at the bottom of the con-
trol unit.
6. Secure the control unit with the screws or
tape provided. Plug heater supply cord into
control unit. Do not plug power cord into wall
outlet until mattress is completely full.
7. Thread temperature sensor through
notch or grommet or end of zipper run leaving a
minimum section exposed outside the bed frame.
8. The temperature sensor or probe should be
positioned at least 12” from the heater pad and
directly under the watermattress and liner portion
of the flotation system.

9. Install the liner and watermattress in accordance with
manufacturer’s instructions. Make certain there are no folds in
liner or mattress above the heater. Fill with warm water (never
hot). Watermattress should be full BEFORE PLUGGING IN
the power cord to wall outlet.

10. After your mattress is filled, plug heater pad cord into
heater control unit. Plug control unit power cord into wall outlet. Be sure
all plugs are tight and secure. Turn the control unit knob or push the
buttons when present to its lowest setting. Plug control unit power
cord into wall outlet. Be sure all plugs are tight and secure. Do
not use other control unit or attachment not provided with
the heater due to increased risk of fire or electric shock.
11. Adjust temperature dial or buttons to desired setting, 85
degrees for a good starting point. Expect an increase of about
½ degree per hour. Depending how cold water is, it could take
4-5 days to heat mattress. The indicator light on the Dial will
stay on until the mattress reaches the set temperature or on
Digital Controls the Readout will flash until the mattress
reaches the set temperature at which point the Readout stays
lit. Digital Control ON-OFF buttons will turn heater On or
completely Off. When the temperature drops below the setting,
the heater will be reactivated and the light will once again go
on or if Digital Control will readout will begin to flash. If the
setting proves too warm or cold after a day or so, adjust the
control unit slightly and allow time for the water temperature
to adjust accordingly. Save energy when bed is not use, by
