Refer to the heater’s burner box hinged access panel, or
refer to Start-up instructions in this manual to determine if
your heater has a single or two stage gas control.

When connecting a thermostat or building controller to the
burner box, route the wiring through the water tight
c o n n e c to r n e a r t h e p owe r c o rd a f te r r e m ov i n g t h e
connector’s plug. See Fig.13 If the connector does not
completley seal around the wiring after tightening, apply
silicone at the wire entry of the connector.

All interconnecting thermostat wiring must be at least 18
gauge to prevent voltage drop. Ensure the terminal marked
W on the ignition control receives 24 VAC from the
thermostat or building controller.

Connecting series tap thermostat kit.

-- Connect power cord of heater to female side of

thermostat cord set.

-- Plug the male side of cord set into an approved

extension cord or to wall outlet.

Wiring Single Stage Thermostat (See Fig.14)

-- Remove wire nut at yellow and orange wire.
-- Connect wiring of thermostat as shown or refer to

electrical diagram on heater

Building Controller Connections (See Fig.15)
-- Remove wire nut from yellow and orange wires.
-- Connect controller contacts as shown.

Electrical Shock Hazard

Disconnect the heater’s electrical supply before
interconnecting the temperature control.

Failure to disconnect the electrical supply will result in
electrical shock.

Electrical shock will cause severe injury or death.
