Step 1 – Using the ½” Socket remove the existing stock tire carrier from vehicle. Remove 4 Bolts from the
tailgate. Save these bolts as you will be reusing them.

Step 2 – Cut third brake light wire as needed. If you’re installing a 2” Round LED Third Brake Light leave
the existing wire longer. If not, you can terminate the wire inside vehicle.

Step 3 – With the Hyline Oversized Tire Mount still off the Jeep, you can install the 3 wheel studs. To do
this, lay the tire mount flat on the gound with the tire on top of it. Then insert the wheel studs through the
appropriate holes. Then tighten down the lug nuts. This will draw the press fit wheel studs into the tire
mount. Remove the tire once the wheel studs are installed.

Step 4 – Install the Hyline Oversize Tire Mount onto the tailgate using the same bolts you previously
removed.

Step 5 – If installing a 2” Round LED Third Brake Light you can do so by first inserting the rubber grommet
into the hole in the center of the Hyline Oversized Tire Mount, then push in the LED Light and wire.
