Removing and Replacing the Battery
To remove the battery:
1 Shut down your PowerBook. Disconnect the power adapter, phone cord, and any other
cables connected to the PowerBook to prevent damaging the computer.
2 Turn over the PowerBook and locate the battery latches. Slide both latches up to
unlock the battery, and gently remove it.
To replace the battery:
m Place one side of the battery into the battery compartment. Gently press the battery
down until the battery latch locks.
Note: Dispose of batteries according to your local environmental laws and guidelines.
