Overview
Kinesis JSB USB footswitches are designed to emulate joystick buttom
operations using generic drivers provided by the operating system. In general,
they will operate on any computer with an active USB port.

Up to four pedals are provided to perform joystick buttons 1-4. If jacks are
provided, only a Kinesis-supplied device (foot pedal or hand trigger) may be
connected. The pedals are connected to the appropriate pair of the four ports
provided by the small USB control module.

System compatibility
Generic drivers from the operating system are used by all systems to operate the
device. No special drivers are needed.

Detailed features
The pedals produce joystick button actions 1 and 2, or 1, 2, and 3, or 1 through 4,
depending on whether you have a model with 2, 3, or 4 inputs.

Status LEDs
On the front of the electronics enclosure (facing the user) are two light emitting
diodes (LEDs) which indicate the status of the device. When the green LED is
illuminated steadily, the unit is operating correctly. The red LED blinks on every
pedal press If the red LED is on continuously, the device is not working correctly
(see the chapter on “Troubleshooting and Technical Support”).

Optional accessories
Hand triggers, extra pedals, and extension cables for jack-equipped models are
available from Kinesis. Use only Kinesis accessories with this product. For more
information or to order, contact Kinesis via email ([email protected]) or phone
(800-454-6374) between the hours of 8am and 5pm Pacific Time.
