6. Locate and remove the factory hex bolt on the top of the frame and bumper bracket behind the

bumper, (long vertical bolt). Bolt the driver side Top Bracket to the top of the frame with the
factory hex bolt, 12mm Lock Washer and 12mm Flat Washer. NOTE: It may be necessary to
trim some plastic from the bumper cover to clear the Top Bracket. Leave loose at this time.

7. Repeat Step 6 for passenger side Top Bracket installation.
8. With assistance, place the Grille Guard up to the inside of the Frame Mounting Brackets. Slide

(1) Spacer Plate in between the Grille Guard and the Frame Bracket, as required, for additional
side to side adjustment. Secure the Grille Guard to the driver side Brackets with (3) 12mm x
40mm Hex Bolts, (6) 12mm Flat Washers and (3) 12mm Nylon Lock Nuts. Repeat to attach the
passenger side of the Grille Guard to the Brackets. Do not tighten hardware at this time.

9. Next, move to the driver side Top Bracket installed in Step 6. Line up the Top Bracket with the

hole in the Grille Guard upright. Attach the Top Bracket to the upright with (1) 10mm x 25mm
Button Head Bolt, (2) 10mm Flat Washers and (1) 10mm Nylon Lock Nut. Leave loose at this
time. Repeat this Step to attach the passenger side Top Bracket to the Grille Guard.

10. With the hood open, align, center and adjust the Grille Guard properly and tighten all Mounting

Bracket hardware. Carefully close the hood and check for clearance. Adjust the Brackets for fit
as necessary and again, fully tighten all hardware.

11. Reinstall the grille and plastic cover removed in Step 5.
12. Do periodic inspections to the installation to make sure that all hardware is secure and tight.

To protect your investment, wax this product after installing. Regular waxing is recommended to
add a protective layer over the finish. Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives
that could damage the finish.
For stainless steel
: Aluminum polish may be used to polish small scratches and scuffs on the finish.
Mild soap may be used also to clean the Grille Guard.
For gloss black finishes: Mild soap may be used to clean the Grille Guard.
