DISPLAY MONITOR AND GAUGES

9.12.1

Digital Display "Main Screen"

The Digital Display unit (1) monitors all functions of the
machine. Refer to the Operator & Safety Manual for
detailed information.

a. Removal

1. Open engine cover. Allow engine to cool.

2. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable at the

negative (-) battery terminal.

3. Remove the steering wheel assembly and the

transmission control lever.

4. Loosen the pinch bolt on the bracket holding the

display unit to the steering column. Slide the display
unit/bracket over the steering column and unplug the
wiring harness from the unit.

b. Disassembly

1. DO NOT disassemble the unit. The display unit is not

serviceable. Replacement of the digital display
should be replaced by a qualified JLG technician if
the unit is found to be defective

c. Installation and Testing

1. Slide the display unit/bracket over the steering

column, align the display unit and tighten the pinch
bolt.

2. Reinstall the transmission control lever and steering

wheel assembly.

3. Connect the negative (-) battery cable to the negative

(-) battery terminal.

4. Close and secure engine cover.

5. The digital display unit MUST be recalibrated

BEFORE the machine is put back into service.

9.12.2

Analog Gauges

The machine is equipped with a analog engine coolant
temperature gauge (2) and a fuel level gauge (3). The
engine coolant temperature also is displayed on the
display "Main Screen".

a. Removal

1. Open engine cover. Allow engine to cool.

2. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable at the

negative (-) battery terminal.

3. Remove the lower dash panel, unplug connectors

from the gauge, remove the two nuts and lock
washers along with the gauge bracket.

4. Pull the gauge out from the front of the dash.

b. Disassembly

DO NOT disassemble the gauge. The gauge is not
serviceable. Replace the gauge if found to be defective.

c. Installation and Testing

1. Install the gauge in the dash. Install the gauge

bracket, lock washers and nuts. Connect the wire
connections.

2. Connect the negative (-) battery cable to the negative

(-) battery terminal.

3. Turn the ignition to the ON position to check the fuel

level. If gauge is not reading properly refer to
Section 9.11.8, “Fuel Level Sender.”

4. Start the machine and allow the engine to warm to

check the engine water temperature.

5. Close and secure engine cover.

CAUTION:

The Digital Display Panel

can only be accessed for modification or
repair by a qualified JLG technician.
