Light intensity and lamp age

The life expectancy of a fluorescent lamp varies significantly by the operating condition in which it is used. Under

ideal conditions, maximum light intensity decreases with lamp age as shown below. Other factors influencing lamp

life includes chamber air temperatures (optimal at 25ºC), number of on/off cycles, and amount of light dimming

applied. For optimal performance, CARON recommends lamp replacement every 2000 hours.
