General Information

NOTE: Know the approximate length of the conduit run to
ensure the blowline is long enough to reach the destination.

1.

Set the Power Dart

®

Blower on a clean, dry surface.

Ensure the power switches are accessible to the user
and the air inlets are not blocked.

2.

Check that all 3 power switches are off, & plug the unit
into a 220 VAC single-phase outlet (rated for at least 12
amperes) or a generator with at least a 2700
watt capacity.

3.

Attach the air hose to the unit’s rear air outlet, and
attach the correct seal-off to the air hose’s other end.

4.

Insert the blowline through the access hole on the
rear of the seal-off, and attach it to the line missile or
foam carrier with a secure knot.

5.

Adjust the drag plate on the rear of the seal-off to put
a slight drag on the blowline.

6.

Place the line missile or foam carrier into the duct and
then securely hold the seal-off in the duct opening.

7.

Turn on one power switch at a time to avoid
overloading the circuit.

8.

To control the missile’s speed, remove the seal-off from
the duct—DO NOT GRAB THE BLOWLINE WITH
YOUR HAND.

9.

Turn off the power switches when the missile reaches
its destination.

Blower uses three 4 Amp motors

to deliver a maximum of 8.5 m

3

¼min (300 ft

¼min) of

forced air. It easily blows poly line or measuring tape over
610 meters (2000 feet) in up to 152 millimeter (6 inch)
diameter conduit. The unit requires an electrical outlet
rated for at least 12 Amps or a 2700-watt generator.

Weighing only 14 kilograms (30 pounds), the unit can be
set up anywhere with ease. The complete kit contains 7.6
meters (25 feet) of air hose, assorted conduit seal-offs, and
an assortment of line missiles. An optional accessory bag
is also available.

NOTE: Each motor has a protective fuse. They are con-
veniently located on the front panel’s lower right corner.

1.

Use a straight-slot screwdriver to rotate the fuse

holder

¼

turn counterclockwise.

2.

Pull the fuse holder out and remove the fuse.

3.

Insert a new fuse (rated for 250 V, 7 Amps) into the
holder.

4.

Push the fuse holder into its receptacle and rotate it

¼

turn clockwise.

Blower is designed for safe

operation, however, these safety precautions must be
followed:

1.

Follow all standard access vault opening procedures,

including work area protection and gas detection.

2.

Be aware of all utility lines in the immediate area and
do not work around live circuits.

3.

Ensure the electrical outlet or generator is rated for at
least 12 Amp or 2700 watts—a fire could result from
wiring overheating.
