CHECK LIST:
Bikes with SINGLE handlebar switch:
5
Front turn signals are already marker lights
5
There is no separate emergency 4-Way
flash switch or button
5
All turn signal bulbs have been replaced with LEDs
If any of the above applies to your bike, Step-2 of the installation will be
required for the signalMinder to function properly without causing any
conflicts.
5
To cancel, handlebar switch has to be pushed or manually brought to
neutral to stop flashing
If the above applies to your bike, Step-3 of the installation is recommended.
5
There is only ONE dash indicator for both right & left turns
If the above applies to your bike, the incandescent instrument bulb needs to
be removed and replaced with a 12V LED equivalent, to eliminate cross talk
between the right & left turn channels. Order 12V-LED from your dealer or
from Kisan.
Note
1
Step-2 is not required for SM-3R, which has pre-connected 9-pin plug.
Note
2
If you have installed load resistors for LEDs, they should be removed.
General rule of thumb is: do a complete installation – all (3) steps – so you
can utilize all of the built-in features of your signalMinder. You will have
safety and convenience of a fully automatic turn signal cancellation system
on your bike.
Bikes with Left & Right handlebar switches:
5
Bike has a toggle switch for 4-Way flash
5
Bike has a push button switch for 4-Way
emergency flash
No additional steps are required. Remember to toggle the switch to off after
beginning the 4-Way flash. Use the CANCEL button of the right side
handlebar switch to end the 4-Way flash. It is better to use both right & left
turn switches simultaneously to activate the 4-Way flash.
