STEP 2

Remove the two existing screws shown in PIC 1; set them within arms
reach of the work area, they will be reused.

STEP 3

Refer to PIC 2. Locate the included brake-side (Right) Cylinder Base Cover,
Front Bracket, Rear Weldment, Long and Short Rods, and three (3) M5
Screws.

STEP 4

Refer

to

PIC 3. Secure the Short Rod to the peak of the Cover with one of

the M5 screws; hold the rod with one hand while tightening the
screw.

STEP 5

Refer

to

PIC 3. Use the Long Rod to “sandwich” the Front

Bracket against the front of the cover; secure the Rod and
Bracket with one of the M5 screws; leave it loose for now.

STEP 6

Refer

to

PIC 3. Secure the Rear Weldment to the rear of the

Cover with one of the M5 screws; leave it loose for now.

STEP 7

Refer

to

PIC 3. Carefully slide the Cover into place; adjust the

Weldment as necessary to clear the exhaust.

Once in place, align the weldment and bracket holes with the
engine case holes; secure with the two screws removed in

STEP 2

; leave the screws loose for now.

NOTE:

If equipped, remove the Kuryakyn Primary
Cover before continuing the installation.

STEP 8

Locate the included clutch-side (Left) Cylinder Base Cover and
remaining two (2) M5 Screws.

STEP 9

Refer

to

PIC 4. Carefully align the Left Cover holes with the Short

and Long Rod Ends; secure the Cover to the Rods with the two M5
Screws; leave them loose for now.

Ensure that the two rubber bumpers on the on the inside edge of the
Left Cover remain in place as it is installed under the cylinder fins.

STEP 10

Ensure that the Covers do not contact any other parts, then tighten
all the screws.

STEP 11

Reinstall the Kuryakyn Primary Cover (if equipped).

INSTALLATION

Working around the sharp edges of the cylinder-head fins exposes
your hands to injury. Wear protective gloves to prevent serious in-

jury.

assembled) are tightened before operation

warranty coverage on products or compo-
nents lost or damaged due to improper in-
stallation or lack of maintenance. Periodic
inspection and maintenance are required on
all fasteners.
