The ESM12 as true stage floor monitors come fitted with extra –heavy duty grills for protection from
standing and jumping by performing musicians and are built and designed for a tough and heavy
duty operation.
Similarly, to help protect the HF diaphragm component from liquids and excessive dirt ingress, both
units come supplied with an optional use- specially formed barrier protection, which can be fitted
over the HF Horn template by first removing the Horn screws and placing the plate over the horn.
This consists of a metal square frame that holds tensioned acoustical open gauze, which does not
allow liquid to pass through, but rather to run downwards into the bottom edge of the enclosure,
thus protecting the HF component.
The ESM26 and ESM12 do not come fitted with this frame from the factory as it does make some
slight difference to HF delivery and performance, thus we leave the choice for the operator to decide
on its employment.
