5. Attach the crosshead assembly to the platen. Tighten the column cap screws to 25% of their full torque
value.

Skip the next two steps if you do not have hydraulic lifts.
Assemble the cylinder clamp around the lift cylinder. Start the clamp’s cap screws into the platen. Use the
cylinder’s clamp marks to get its height right. Get the cylinder parallel to the column. Torque the cap screws
to 55 lbf·ft (75 N·m).
