OPERATION
PRE-STARTING CHECKS
Do the following at the start of each operating
season:
CAUTION:
1. Review the Operator's Manual to refresh
your memory on safety and operating
recommendations.
2. Review all safety signs and other decals on
the windrower and note hazard areas.
3. Be sure all shields and guards are properly
installed and secured. Never alter or remove
safety equipment.
4. Be sure you understand and have practised
safe use of all controls. Know the capacity
and operating characteristics of the
machine.
5. Check the first aid kit and fire extinguisher.
Know where they are and how to use them.

6. Install drapers. See "Drapers" in Maintenance/
Service section.
7. Adjust tension on drive belts and drapers. See
Maintenance/Service section.
8. Perform all Annual maintenance. See Mainte-
nance/Service section.
