Tick the SMS IN checkbox to allow forwarding of incoming short
messages from this number to the modem’s serial port as data.

Tick the SMS OUT checkbox to allow data received from the attached
serial device to be transmitted as short messages to this number.

Tick the SMS Control checkbox to allow this number the following
privileges:
1. SMS commands for remote control
