NOTES:
Read all instructions thoroughly before starting project to familiarize yourself with the installation procedure.
•
For installing the S&S roller cam some minor clearancing of the cylinder tappet well area may be necessary.
•
Make sure to follow proper Polaris® shop manual for your model vehicle.
•
Use these instructions for the roller cam anti rotation plates and the valve spring installation.
•
Make sure to mark all parts while removing so that all parts will go back in the exact same location.
1- Make sure to install a 5/16” hardened steel dowel pin or Polaris® tool (PU-45497-2) in the cam gear before removing as gear is spring loaded.
2- Remove cylinder and pistons per Polaris® manual. Make sure to cover case with a rag to avoid dropping a circlip down into the engine.
