ASSEMBLY

1) Remove the hand-held vacuum cup from its carrying case or remove the pad cover,

depending on the model. Save the case or cover for use whenever the hand cup is
transported or stored.

2) Connect the hand cup's vacuum pump to an appropriate compressed air supply (see

SPECIFICATIONS: Power Source), as follows:

3

Use appropriate hose and/or fittings to connect an air line from the compressed air supply to

the 1/8" NPT male fitting on the hand cup.

WARNING: Any damage or obstruction in air line would result in immediate load

release.

Make certain the air line is routed so that it does not become tangled, kinked, pinched or cut

while operating the hand cup or production machinery. Any damage or obstruction in the air
line would result in an immediate load release and possible injury to the operator.

3) Adjust the air pressure regulator to supply a continuous air pressure of 70 to 80 psi [483 to

552 kPa]. Exceeding this pressure does not improve the vacuum flow or performance of the

hand cup. Pressures greater than 80 psi [552 kPa] should be avoided. Now the hand cup is
operational.

4) Perform tests of the hand cup as directed in MAINTENANCE: T

ESTING

S

CHEDULE

.

3

The hand cup will continue to consume air as long as it is connected to the compressed air supply. A quick connector type

fitting may be installed in the air line, if frequent connecting and disconnecting of the hand cup is desired.
