Setting up

Set the machine up on a stable surface (fig. 1).

Test the punching system with scrap paper first before punching

your final documents.

Lift up both parts of the operating lever until the handle noticeably

clicks into position. Fold out the support arms on both sides of the
machine as far as they will extend.

Punching

Insert paper fully into the punching slot making sure they are flush

with the paper edge guide. (max 12 sheets 80gsm/2 x PVC Covers)
(fig. 2).

Press down on the punching handle until all pages are punched (fig.

3).

Lift handle to its original position and remove pages.

Comb binding

Place the comb, open side up, behind the metal fingers. Push the

comb to the right.

Press the small binding lever on the rear side of the machine slowly

to the rear, until the comb is sufficiently open (fig. 4).

Load the document onto the comb.

Move the small binding lever back to the vertical position. Remove

the bound document by pushing it to the left (fig. 5).

Wire Binding

(using GBC 21 loop wires)

Using the edge of a desk, feed the wire through the punched

document (fig. 6).

Insert the document into the wire closing jaws. (wire opening face

down).

Support the document and pull down on the punch handle SLOWLY

until the selected size of your binder appears on the scale on the
right-hand side in the wire closing jaws (fig. 7).

Lift the lever back to the vertical position and remove the document.

Binding Tip

Place the last sheet /back cover of the document on top of the first
sheet, so that when the document you flip the back cover over and the
join in the wire will now be concealed between the last and second but
last sheets.

Adjusting the paper edge guide

You can adjust the paper edge guide by pressing on the guide. You can
then slide the guide along the machine to your required paper size. The
graphic representation of the punched holes on the punching channel
will be of assistance to you here.
Note: Make sure that the edges of the paper are not cut (fig. 2).

Maintenance

Please remember to empty the clippings tray regularly.

Guarantee

Operation of this machine is guaranteed for two years from date of
purchase, subject to normal use. Within the guarantee period, Acco
Brands Europe will at its own discretion either repair or replace the
defective machine free of charge. Defects due to misuse or use for
inappropriate purposes are not covered under the guarantee. Proof
of date of purchase will be required. Repairs or alterations made by

persons not authorised by Acco Brands Europe will invalidate the
guarantee. It is our aim to ensure that our products perform to the
specifications stated. This guarantee does not affect the legal rights
which consumers have under applicable national legislation governing
the sale of goods.
